Language, Reality, and Time - Sunday, December 2, 2001

Does language create reality? Looking at the work of Sapiri and Work we will discuss how language creates perceptions of time and reality. Focusing on Native American cultures we will consider such concepts as the Hopi Nation's lack of past tense and other Native concepts of the cyclical nature of time.
